In Elmwood High School's history, 3 major logos have represented us throughout our over 70 year history. This new design marks our 4th official instalment in our logo timeline. Remaining "Giants" but bringing back our trusty mascot the "Ookpik", a term used for the arctic owl in northern indigenous languages.
 
The Ookpik stands as a symbol of wisdom, protection, and a calculated ferociousness that makes the owl a truly precise hunter.
 
Ook Pik dolls are also given to children and are meant to be a symbol of protection to keep them safe from negative spirits.
